I had a pleasant three-day stay during Halloween break; the hotel's location is strategic, and the staff are incredibly friendly. However, I did encounter a few downsides, including some mosquitoes in my room and issues with the TV channels. Overall, it was a good choice for my trip.

I had a pleasant stay at Puri Artha Hotel during Halloween break. The ambiance truly felt like a piece of Bali right in Yogyakarta. While the location was decent and the staff were friendly, I encountered a few downsides like lost TV channels and some mosquitoes in the room. Overall, I enjoyed my time there despite these minor issues.

Rooms
8.0
My room had a spacious layout with a classic Javanese atmosphere. However, it did feel a bit dirty in some corners, particularly behind the bed, and it could really use some refurbishing. The wooden furniture was nicely decorated, but I noticed some mosquitoes despite the lovely netting.
Service
6.0
The service from the staff was generally helpful, but I did encounter issues with the reception. They seemed overwhelmed and weren't able to assist well when I needed help finding a taxi. It would have been nice if they offered umbrellas for crossing in the rain, too.
Location

The hotel is in a student area, which is a bit away from Malioboro, about 10 minutes by taxi. It’s not ideal for walking around, but you can reach the airport in around 10 minutes. A mention of the free shuttle to Malioboro at check-in would have been really useful.
Dining
7.0
Dining at the hotel was adequate, with a good range of both Western and Indonesian food. They did have entertainment with 'Gending Jawa' on certain days, which was quite entertaining, but the overall dining experience could be improved.
Facilities
6.0
Housekeeping was okay, but there’s definitely room for improvement in keeping the space cleaner and more welcoming.

The room had a split-system A/C, which I didn't need since the weather was cool. However, I found the cleanliness lacking, with some spots that were not up to par.
